HP ProBook 4510s is a business notebook, which is designed to meet the needs of small and medium enterprises. In other words, it is necessary have a good balance in terms of features and security, at low prices. Some say, small and medium business notebooks tend to have a very basic form, is a means to help lower production costs. At first glance, the ProBook 4510s looks very similar to the HP EliteBook 8530p, with a new keyboard, and all black. Unfortunately, the design similarities stop there.
HP received much praise for the strong magnesium alloy casing, which is used in the EliteBook series of business notebooks.
Unfortunately, in order to reduce cost and weight of the notebook, HP ProBook 4510s constructed mostly of plastic.
The outer screen casing, made of plastic. The lid is made of glossy plastic reflective, and HP ProBook logos printed in silver.
Minimalist design of the ProBook 4510s combines matte and glossy surfaces, for a clean look without the flare, the HP Pavilion line of consumer-oriented.
Despite the plastic construction, the Probook 4510s there were features of hard drive protection against shock, in the form of HP 3D DriveGuard, which will help protect your hard drive in terms of getting the laptop is dropped or bumped hard.
HP also includes HP ProtectTools with drive encryption, Device Access Manager, HP Spare Key (a program that helps employees access their computer in case they forget their password), HP Disk Sanitizer, File Sanitizer, and McAfee Security Solutions for small businesses, which require reliability and ease of use, but do not have the resources of a dedicated IT department.

But how difficult to make upgrades to the ProBook 4510s.
While most notebooks have a removable panel at the bottom of the notebook to access the RAM, hard drives, and wireless card, HP designed the ProBook 4510s so you have to remove the 10 screws and the top half of the entire chassis (including separate speaker grill, keyboard, and touchpad area) to replace or upgrade components.
Indeed, many businesses will never upgrade their notebooks, and will only use them as-until they are replaced, but the complexity of upgrades and improvements, is something to keep in mind.
Screen and speakers
HP ProBook 4510s is equipped with a 15.6 “anti-glare widescreen with 16:9 ratio in 1366 x 768 pixels, this 720p high-definition displays perfectly usable and features good color and contrast.
Speakers in the 4510s was less than impressive.
The highest volume settings loud enough to fill the office with sound for a presentation, but the audio sounds distorted at high volume.
Despite the weak performance on the built-in speakers, they are also placed above the keyboard to direct the user’s voice and direction.
Keyboard and Touchpad
Full-size keyboard on the 4510s is a new design for the HP and provides fantastic spacing between keys for typing as well as the number keys special (big plus for businesses that use their computers to the numbers or data entry).
Each key is relatively flat with a nice matte texture and buttons sit above a glossy black support frame.
The touchpad is very responsive to the touch with a scroll zone on the right side, which works exactly like it should. A dedicated touchpad disable button, so you can disable the touchpad if you use an external mouse.

HP Probook 4510s has a good number of ports on all sides.

On the left side looks Kensington lock slot, GigE Ethernet, heat exhaust, VGA out, HDMI, an ExpressCard/34 slot, and two USB ports.
